Rafik Guitane is a product of the youth academy of Le Havre, club with a very rich history of producing some fine talents including Dimitri Payet, Paul Pogba, Steve Mandanda, Vikash Dhorasoo, Jean-Alain Boumsong, Charles N’Zogbia and Benjamin Mendy. Rafik is currently considered to be the brightest prospect in club’s academy. In July 2016 he signed his first professional contract with Le Havre, which will keep him at the club until 2019. It is almost certain that he will make his first team debut rather sooner than later. He is also a regular youth international for France. In 2016, he played at European U-17 Championship, but young Frenchmen were a massive disappointment and got knocked out already in the group stage despite high expectations.
