Description:
Latvian football is not famous for its traditions but from time to time some decent football players are born there as well. The best examples of this fact are Marians Pahars, Artjoms Rudņevs, Māris Verpakovskis, Igors Stepanovs and Kaspars Gorkšs. Currently, one of the country’s brightest prospects surely is a youth product of FK Liepāja – Marks Kurtišs. He made his professional debut on 11 March 2016 in a league fixture against Spartaks Jūrmala. His first senior goal came 4 months later in a home defeat to FK Ventspils. He is also a regular youth international for Latvia, having been capped at the U-17, U-18, and U-19 levels.
