Description:
FC Pyunik youth academy is becoming more widely known. They have produced some of the best Armenian footballers of recent times, such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Borussia Dortmund), Gevorg Ghazaryan (Shakhter Karagandy) or Edgar Manucharyan (Ural Sverdlovskaya Oblast). Ayvazyan is currently their hottest prospect and next Pyunik talent tipped to shine in Europe. He made his debut in a league fixture during 2012/2013 season on 16th May 2012 against Ulisses Yerevan, in which he played last 30 minutes. He very quickly became a “super-sub” and became top scorer of his team with 12 goals scored in 31 matches. Thanks to these fantastic performances he earned him a new nickname, “Ronaldo from Giumri”. It is worth pointing out that he is also one of the youngest members of Armenia U-21 national team.
