League summary (as for 14 January 2017):

Segunda División 2016/2017 (ongoing): 16 matches/3 goals (Sevilla Atlético)

Description:

Alejandro Pozo is a product of Sevilla FC academy – youth system which features a range of well-equipped facilities and is one of the most renowned in Spain and famous for developing many great footballers, such as Jose Antonio Reyes, Diego Capel, Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos and Alberto Moreno. On 21 August 2016, aged only 17, he made his professional debut with Sevilla Atlético – the reserve team of Sevilla – by coming on as a late substitute for Ivi López in a 3–3 Segunda División home draw against Girona. He scored his first goal two months later against Numancia. He is also a Spanish youth international and is currently a member of ‘La Rojita’ U-19 team.

Quotes:

‘We might as well be the first ones to crack the inevitable “so good they named him twice” joke – and we can safely assume we won’t be the last. A Spain Under-19 international at 17, he is a juvenil who has been promoted to Sevilla Atlético, the club’s B team, playing in Spain’s second division and has performed well so far, seen as a future star. Skilful and tricky, Pozo is an out-and-out winger – a “clásico” they say – who is always willing to run at and beyond his opponent.’
